Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 135

भविष्यसि गणेशानः कल्पांतेऽनुग्रहान्मम । तावत्तिष्ठ ममादेशात्स्वाधिकारेषु निर्वृतः । इत्युक्त्वाऽदर्शनं प्राप्तो दक्षस्यामिततेजसः

bhaviṣyasi gaṇeśānaḥ kalpāṃte'nugrahānmama | tāvattiṣṭha mamādeśātsvādhikāreṣu nirvṛtaḥ | ityuktvā'darśanaṃ prāpto dakṣasyāmitatejasaḥ

„Durch meine Gnade wirst du am Ende des Kalpa zu Gaṇeśāna werden. Bis dahin bleibe auf meinen Befehl hin zufrieden in deinen eigenen Ämtern und Zuständigkeiten.“ So sprach der Herr von unermesslichem Glanz und entschwand Dakṣas Blick.
