Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 105

FAQs

Hoarding wealth without dharma is spiritually barren, yet the verse also highlights steadfast marital fidelity even amid a spouse’s moral shortcomings.

This moral portrait appears within Vastrāpathakṣetra-māhātmya in the Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa, using human story to underline tīrtha-centered dharma.

Implicit prescription: convert wealth into dharmic acts (dāna, public good, rites) rather than burying/hoarding it.
