वामन उवाच । यदि तुष्टो महादेव यदि देयो वरो मम । तदाऽत्र लिंगे स्थातव्यमस्तु दिव्यं पुरो मम
vāmana uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo mahādeva yadi deyo varo mama | tadā'tra liṃge sthātavyamastu divyaṃ puro mama
Vāmana sprach: „Wenn du zufrieden bist, o Mahādeva, und wenn mir ein Segen gewährt werden soll, dann verweile hier in diesem Liṅga als göttliche Gegenwart vor meiner Stadt.“
