यस्मान्मोक्षार्थिभिर्विप्रा जलेनाहं प्रसादितः । तस्मादिदं परं तीर्थं सर्वकामप्रदं परम्

yasmānmokṣārthibhirviprā jalenāhaṃ prasāditaḥ | tasmādidaṃ paraṃ tīrthaṃ sarvakāmapradaṃ param

Weil ihr, ihr Brahmanen, die ihr nach Mokṣa strebt, Mich durch dieses Wasser besänftigt habt—darum ist dies ein höchstes Tīrtha, das erhabenste, das jeden würdigen Wunsch gewährt.
