मानकूटं तुलाकूटं कन्याहयगवां क्रयात् । तत्सर्वं विलयं याति द्वादश्यां जागरे कृते

mānakūṭaṃ tulākūṭaṃ kanyāhayagavāṃ krayāt | tatsarvaṃ vilayaṃ yāti dvādaśyāṃ jāgare kṛte

Betrug bei Maßen, Betrug bei Gewichten und die Verfehlung, die durch den Kauf und Verkauf von Mädchen, Pferden oder Rindern entsteht—all dies löst sich auf, wenn in der Dvādaśī‑Nacht eine heilige Vigil (Jāgara) gehalten wird.
