चन्द्रशर्मोवाच । के यूयं विकृताकारा जंतूनां च भयानकाः । पृथ्वीसमुद्भवा जीवा न दृष्टा न श्रुता मया
candraśarmovāca | ke yūyaṃ vikṛtākārā jaṃtūnāṃ ca bhayānakāḥ | pṛthvīsamudbhavā jīvā na dṛṣṭā na śrutā mayā
Candraśarman sprach: „Wer seid ihr, von entstellter Gestalt, furchterregend für die Lebewesen? Ihr scheint Geschöpfe zu sein, die aus der Erde hervorgegangen sind – doch weder habe ich euch je gesehen noch von euch zuvor gehört.“
