ईश्वरांशं च तं दृष्ट्वा न हन्तव्योऽयमीश्वरः । विष्णुमुद्दिश्य तान्सर्वान्प्रेरयामास दानवान्
īśvarāṃśaṃ ca taṃ dṛṣṭvā na hantavyo'yamīśvaraḥ | viṣṇumuddiśya tānsarvānprerayāmāsa dānavān
Als er ihn als einen Anteil des höchsten Herrn erkannte, dachte er: „Dieser Herr darf nicht getötet werden.“ Doch auf Viṣṇu zielend, stachelte er all jene Dānavas an.
