केनचित्त्वथ कालेन दुर्भिक्षे समुपस्थिते । अन्नक्षयान्महाराज सर्व लोकः क्षुधार्दितः
kenacittvatha kālena durbhikṣe samupasthite | annakṣayānmahārāja sarva lokaḥ kṣudhārditaḥ
„Dann, zu einer gewissen Zeit, als eine Hungersnot ausbrach, o großer König, und die Nahrungsvorräte erschöpft waren, wurde das ganze Volk von Hunger gequält.“
