नाद्यापि स तृणा न्यत्ति तेनाहं शोकविक्लवा । रोद्मि व्याघ्र सुतस्नेहात्सत्येनात्मानमालभे
nādyāpi sa tṛṇā nyatti tenāhaṃ śokaviklavā | rodmi vyāghra sutasnehātsatyenātmānamālabhe
„Noch immer frisst er kein Gras; darum bin ich von Kummer überwältigt. Ich weine, o Tiger, aus Liebe zu meinem Kalb. Bei der Wahrheit verpflichte ich mich selbst (zur Rückkehr).“
