Pulastya
Tirtha: Arbuda (Devī-sthāna on Arbuda-giri)
Type: peak
Listener: Nṛpa (king)
Scene: Pulastya narrates as the devas, delighted by Devī’s words, ascend to Svarga; Devī journeys toward Arbuda mountain, the landscape shifting from celestial to rugged sacred hill.
When the Divine takes residence in a place, that locale becomes a living tīrtha, worthy of pilgrimage and remembrance.
Arbuda mountain, presented as the Goddess’s chosen abode.
No direct prescription; it narrates the establishment of the Goddess at Arbuda, grounding later darśana-based observances.
