एवं स निश्चयं कृत्वा ततो राममुपाद्रवत् । उवाच दंडवद्भूमौ प्रणिपत्य कृतांजलिः
evaṃ sa niścayaṃ kṛtvā tato rāmamupādravat | uvāca daṃḍavadbhūmau praṇipatya kṛtāṃjaliḥ
So fasste er seinen Entschluss, eilte zu Rāma und sprach—sich wie ein Stab zur Erde niederwerfend, die Hände in ehrfürchtigem Añjali gefaltet.
