शक्र उवाच । वृत्रेण निर्जिताः सर्वे वयं ब्राह्मणसत्तम । स वध्यो नहि शस्त्राणां सर्वेषां वरपुष्टितः
śakra uvāca | vṛtreṇa nirjitāḥ sarve vayaṃ brāhmaṇasattama | sa vadhyo nahi śastrāṇāṃ sarveṣāṃ varapuṣṭitaḥ
Śakra sprach: „O Bester der Brāhmaṇas, Vṛtra hat uns alle besiegt. Durch Gaben gestärkt, kann er durch keinerlei Waffe getötet werden.“
