मातरं क्षतसर्वाङ्गीं प्राणशेषां व्यथान्विताम् । रुरुदुः शोकसन्तप्ता मुक्त्वा रामं महाबलम्

mātaraṃ kṣatasarvāṅgīṃ prāṇaśeṣāṃ vyathānvitām | ruruduḥ śokasantaptā muktvā rāmaṃ mahābalam

Als sie ihre Mutter sahen, die am ganzen Körper verwundet war, kaum noch am Leben und von Schmerzen geplagt, weinten sie in brennendem Kummer und ließen sogar den mächtigen Rāma beiseite.
