देव्युवाच । परितुष्टास्मि ते पुत्रि वरं प्रार्थय सुव्रते । असंदिग्धं प्रदास्यामि यत्ते हृदि सदा स्थितम्
devyuvāca | parituṣṭāsmi te putri varaṃ prārthaya suvrate | asaṃdigdhaṃ pradāsyāmi yatte hṛdi sadā sthitam
Die Göttin sprach: „Ich bin mit dir zufrieden, meine Tochter—o du mit edlem Gelübde. Bitte um eine Gabe; ohne Zweifel werde ich dir gewähren, was stets in deinem Herzen verweilte.“
