अस्यां संपूजितो विष्णुर्यावन्मासचतुष्टयम् । ददाति सकलान्कामान्ध्यातश्चेतसि सर्वदा । शास्त्रोक्तविधिना सम्यग्व्रतस्थो जलशायिनम्

asyāṃ saṃpūjito viṣṇuryāvanmāsacatuṣṭayam | dadāti sakalānkāmāndhyātaścetasi sarvadā | śāstroktavidhinā samyagvratastho jalaśāyinam

Wenn man von diesem Tage an Viṣṇu vier Monate lang ordnungsgemäß verehrt und ihn stets im Herzen betrachtet, dann erlangt man—indem man das Gelübde nach der Vorschrift der Śāstras recht ausführt und den auf den Wassern ruhenden Herrn (Jalaśāyī) ehrt—alle gewünschten Ziele.
