ततो भवति संसिद्धो मंत्रार्हः स नरः शुचिः । जपेद्ब्राह्मणशार्दूल ततो लक्षचतुष्टयम् । दशांशेन तु होमः स्यात्सुसमिद्धे हुताशने
tato bhavati saṃsiddho maṃtrārhaḥ sa naraḥ śuciḥ | japedbrāhmaṇaśārdūla tato lakṣacatuṣṭayam | daśāṃśena tu homaḥ syātsusamiddhe hutāśane
Dann wird jener Mensch vollkommen vollendet — rein und würdig, das Mantra zu tragen. Danach, o Tiger unter den Brāhmaṇas, soll er weitere vier Lakhs (400.000) rezitieren. Sodann sei ein Homa als ein Zehntel der Japa darzubringen, in ein gut entfachtes heiliges Feuer.

Scene: A sādhaka, now ‘śuci’ and ‘mantrārha’, completes extended japa and performs homa: a bright, well-kindled fire (susamiddha hutāśana) with offerings; the teacher oversees, and the shrine’s presence sanctifies the rite.
Purity and qualification arise from sustained practice; japa is sealed and stabilized through homa.
The procedure is taught within the Camatkārapura/Citreśvarīpīṭha māhātmya, implying the site’s supportive power for such rites.
After initial japa, chant four lakhs more; then perform homa equal to one-tenth of the japa count in a well-kindled fire.
