तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा निराशः स महीपतिः । वैराग्यं परमं गत्वा मरणे कृतनिश्चयः
tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā nirāśaḥ sa mahīpatiḥ | vairāgyaṃ paramaṃ gatvā maraṇe kṛtaniścayaḥ
Als der König diese Worte hörte, sank ihm alle Hoffnung. In höchstes Entsagen (Vairāgya) eingetreten, fasste er den Entschluss zu sterben.
