दानवा ऊचुः । वयं देवैः पराभूता भवंतं शरणागताः । क्व यामोऽन्यत्र चाऽस्माकं त्वां विना नास्ति संश्रयः
dānavā ūcuḥ | vayaṃ devaiḥ parābhūtā bhavaṃtaṃ śaraṇāgatāḥ | kva yāmo'nyatra cā'smākaṃ tvāṃ vinā nāsti saṃśrayaḥ
Die Dānavas sprachen: „Von den Devas besiegt, sind wir zu dir als Zuflucht gekommen. Wohin sollten wir sonst gehen? Denn ohne dich gibt es für uns keinen Schutz.“
