अत्रांतरे नरा ये च निवसंति द्विजोत्तमाः । कृषिकर्मोद्यताश्चापि यांति ते परमां गतिम् । किं पुनर्नियतात्मानः शांता दांता जितेंद्रियाः

atrāṃtare narā ye ca nivasaṃti dvijottamāḥ | kṛṣikarmodyatāścāpi yāṃti te paramāṃ gatim | kiṃ punarniyatātmānaḥ śāṃtā dāṃtā jiteṃdriyāḥ

O Beste unter den Zweimalgeborenen: Selbst die Menschen, die innerhalb dieses Gebietes wohnen—auch wenn sie nur eifrig der Feldarbeit nachgehen—gelangen zum höchsten Ziel. Um wie viel mehr erst jene, die sich beherrschen, friedvoll sind, gezügelt und die Sinne bezwungen haben!
