Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 20

हृत्कण्ठ तालुगाभिश्च यथावर्णं द्विजातयः । शुध्येरन्स्त्री च शूद्रश्च सकृत्स्पृष्टाभिरंततः

hṛtkaṇṭha tālugābhiśca yathāvarṇaṃ dvijātayaḥ | śudhyeranstrī ca śūdraśca sakṛtspṛṣṭābhiraṃtataḥ

Durch die reinigenden Wasser, die Herzgegend, Kehle und Gaumen berühren, werden die Zweimalgeborenen gemäß ihren jeweiligen Vorschriften gereinigt; und selbst Frauen und Śūdras werden in jeder Hinsicht geläutert, wenn dieses Wasser sie auch nur einmal berührt.
