ब्राह्मणा ऊचुः । यद्येतच्छुणुते राजा वाक्यमीर्ष्यापरायणः । तत्सर्वेषां वधं कुर्याद्विप्राणामन्यथा भवेत्
brāhmaṇā ūcuḥ | yadyetacchuṇute rājā vākyamīrṣyāparāyaṇaḥ | tatsarveṣāṃ vadhaṃ kuryādviprāṇāmanyathā bhavet
Die Brahmanen sprachen: „Wenn der König, ganz der Eifersucht verfallen, diese Worte hört, könnte er uns alle, die Brahmanen, töten lassen; andernfalls wird es anders ausgehen (als beabsichtigt).“
