Transliteration

karṇaśūlaṃ yathā'yātamasakṛddvijasattamāḥ | vandhyavādyaṃ yathā vādyaṃ mṛdaṃgānakapūrvakam

Translation

O Vorzüglichste der Zweifachgeborenen, es traf ihr Ohr immer wieder wie stechender Schmerz. Wie eine dürre, freudlose Musik, obgleich von Trommeln und Kesselpauken begleitet.
