Transliteration

praṇipatya dvijaiḥ sarvairgacchamānā nivāritā | mā devayajanaṃ gaccha sāvitri pativallabhe

„Als sie im Begriff war fortzugehen, verneigten sich alle Brāhmaṇas und hielten sie zurück, indem sie sprachen: ‚O Sāvitrī, Geliebte deines Gatten—geh nicht zum Opferplatz (devayajana)!‘“
