Transliteration

kanyāṃ yacchati vṛddhāya nīcāya dhanalipsayā | kurūpāya kuśīlāya sa preto jāyate naraḥ

Wer aus Gier nach Reichtum seine Tochter einem Greis, einem Niedrigen, einem Missgestalteten und einem von schlechtem Wandel gibt—der wird als Preta (hungriger Geist) wiedergeboren.
