अतीतानागतं वेत्ति विना लिंगैर्भवानिह । तस्मात्कुरु प्रसादं मे यथा स्याद्ब्राह्मणः सुतः । क्षत्रियस्य तु पुत्रस्य भवान्नार्हः कथंचन
atītānāgataṃ vetti vinā liṃgairbhavāniha | tasmātkuru prasādaṃ me yathā syādbrāhmaṇaḥ sutaḥ | kṣatriyasya tu putrasya bhavānnārhaḥ kathaṃcana
Hier erkennst du Vergangenes und Zukünftiges selbst ohne äußere Zeichen. Darum erweise mir Gnade, damit mein Sohn ein Brāhmaṇa werde. Doch in keiner Weise ziemt es dir, mit einem kṣatriya-Sohn verbunden zu sein.
