पुरश्चरणकृत्यायां सप्तम्यां दिवसाधिप । उपवासं करिष्यामि अद्य त्वं शरणं मम

puraścaraṇakṛtyāyāṃ saptamyāṃ divasādhipa | upavāsaṃ kariṣyāmi adya tvaṃ śaraṇaṃ mama

O Herr des Tages (Sūrya), an dieser Saptamī, die für das Puraścaraṇa-Ritual bestimmt ist, werde ich fasten; heute bist Du meine Zuflucht.
