Transliteration

yācitaṃ dvijavare na dīyate saṃcitaṃ kratuvare na yojyate | tatkadaryaparirakṣitaṃ dhanaṃ caurapārthivagṛheṣu bhujyate

Translation

Was ein vortrefflicher Brāhmaṇa erbittet, wird nicht gegeben; das Gesammelte wird nicht im edlen Opfer eingesetzt. Der von Geiz bewachte Reichtum wird schließlich in den Häusern von Dieben und Königen verzehrt.
