ततः सा चिन्तयामास निजचित्ते वरांगना । मणिभद्रेण दग्धाहमीर्ष्यावह्निगताऽनिशम्

tataḥ sā cintayāmāsa nijacitte varāṃganā | maṇibhadreṇa dagdhāhamīrṣyāvahnigatā'niśam

Da sann jene edle Frau in ihrem Herzen nach: „Maṇibhadra hat mich versengt; unablässig verzehrt mich das Feuer der Eifersucht.“
