Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 36

दत्त्वा दानान्यनेकानि शासनानि बहूनि च । अन्यच्च प्रददौ पश्चात्स तेषां तुष्टिदायकम्

dattvā dānānyanekāni śāsanāni bahūni ca | anyacca pradadau paścātsa teṣāṃ tuṣṭidāyakam

Nachdem er viele Gaben gespendet und zudem zahlreiche Verleihungen, Stiftungen und Zuwendungen gewährt hatte, brachte er hernach noch weitere Opfergaben dar—Dinge, die ihnen volle Genugtuung schenkten.
