Transliteration

tāpasa uvāca | bharadvājātmajaścāhaṃ devaśarmeti viśrutaḥ | vihāya bhogānakhilānvanaṃ ghoramupāgataḥ

Translation

Der Asket sprach: „Ich bin der Sohn Bharadvājas, bekannt unter dem Namen Devaśarmā. Nachdem ich alle Genüsse aufgegeben habe, bin ich in diesen schrecklichen Wald gekommen.“
