अथ ते ब्राह्मणाः केचित्सर्पेभ्यो भयविह्वलाः । सशोका दिङ्मुखान्याशु ते सर्वे संगता मिथः

atha te brāhmaṇāḥ kecitsarpebhyo bhayavihvalāḥ | saśokā diṅmukhānyāśu te sarve saṃgatā mithaḥ

Dann wurden einige Brāhmaṇas vom Schrecken vor den Nāga-Schlangen überwältigt; voller Kummer wandten sie rasch ihr Antlitz zu den Himmelsrichtungen, und alle kamen miteinander zusammen.
