Devāḥ (the gods)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Devas exhort Tripurāntaka: ‘She will be your wife again; lift the liṅga and secure heaven’s welfare.’ The liṅga appears as a weighty yet luminous axis; devas gesture in urgent supplication.
Assurance of divine reunion becomes the ground for renewing responsibility—personal sorrow is transformed into protection of the world.
The tīrtha is glorified through the necessity of the Liṅga’s continued presence, which safeguards cosmic welfare in the chapter’s sacred-geography frame.
Implied: restoration/maintenance of the Liṅga and its worship for loka-kṣema (welfare of beings).
