नालं बभूव तां दातुं तनयां गुणशालिनीम् । कस्यापि जनकः सा च वयःसंधौ मयेक्षिता

nālaṃ babhūva tāṃ dātuṃ tanayāṃ guṇaśālinīm | kasyāpi janakaḥ sā ca vayaḥsaṃdhau mayekṣitā

Ihr Vater fand niemanden, dem er jene tugendreiche Tochter geben konnte. Und am Schnittpunkt der Lebensalter—an der Schwelle zur Jugend—erblickte ich sie.
