Transliteration

tadavaśyamahaṃ sākamadhunā vahnisādhanam | kariṣye kīrtivapuṣaḥ kṛte satyamidaṃ sakhe

Translation

Darum, o Freund, werde ich jetzt gewiss die Feuerprobe vollziehen, mit dir (oder um deinetwillen). Dies ist Wahrheit, Freund — um desjenigen willen, dessen Leib selbst Ruhm ist, das heißt: um der Ehre willen.
