Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 81

Ekānaṃśā (Yogamāyā), addressing the Pāṇḍavas with Bhīma in focus

Scene: The Goddess speaks with a softened face, acknowledging Kṛṣṇa as her brother; Bhīma and the others are shown as Kṛṣṇa’s ‘life-breaths’—perhaps with a subtle visual motif of shared aura linking them to Vāsudeva.

FAQs

God’s power may appear as wrath for the protection of those closely bound to the divine mission; devotion and divine kinship are portrayed as life-breath unity.

No tīrtha is mentioned; the verse emphasizes theological relationship (Kṛṣṇa–Pāṇḍavas) rather than sacred geography.

None; the verse is doctrinal and relational, describing divine motive rather than ritual action.
