देव्युवाच । अहं च रक्षयिष्यामि स्वभक्तं कृष्णमृत्युतः । यस्माच्च चंडिकाकृत्ये कृतोऽनेन महारणः । तस्माच्चंडिलनाम्नायं विश्वपूज्यो भविष्यति
devyuvāca | ahaṃ ca rakṣayiṣyāmi svabhaktaṃ kṛṣṇamṛtyutaḥ | yasmācca caṃḍikākṛtye kṛto'nena mahāraṇaḥ | tasmāccaṃḍilanāmnāyaṃ viśvapūjyo bhaviṣyati
Die Göttin sprach: „Auch ich werde meinen Verehrer Kṛṣṇa vor dem Tod beschützen. Und weil er im Dienst der Caṇḍikā eine große Schlacht ausgefochten hat, wird er darum in der Welt berühmt und unter dem Namen ‚Caṇḍila‘ verehrt werden.“
