पितरं चाप्यवज्ञाय कः प्रतिष्ठामवाप्नुयात् । अनवज्ञा पितुर्युक्ता युक्तं मातुश्च रक्षणम्

pitaraṃ cāpyavajñāya kaḥ pratiṣṭhāmavāpnuyāt | anavajñā pituryuktā yuktaṃ mātuśca rakṣaṇam

Wer könnte, wenn er den Vater missachtet, jemals wahre Ehre und Ansehen erlangen? Den Vater nicht zu verachten ist rechtens, und ebenso ist der Schutz der Mutter rechtens.
