Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 83

यच्चाक्रुश्य ददात्यंग दत्त्वा वाक्रोशति द्विजम् । पैशाचं तद्वृथा दानंदाननाशास्त्रयस्त्वमी

yaccākruśya dadātyaṃga dattvā vākrośati dvijam | paiśācaṃ tadvṛthā dānaṃdānanāśāstrayastvamī

Und, o Lieber, die Gabe, die man unter Beschimpfungen (des Empfängers) gibt, oder bei der man nach dem Geben den Brāhmaṇa schmäht, heißt „paiśāca“ und ist vergeblich. Dies sind wahrlich die drei Weisen, durch die eine Gabe zugrunde geht.
