Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 8

नैवास्तमनमर्कस्य नोदयः सर्वदा सतः । उदयास्तमनाक्यं हि दर्शनादर्शनं रवेः

naivāstamanamarkasya nodayaḥ sarvadā sataḥ | udayāstamanākyaṃ hi darśanādarśanaṃ raveḥ

Für die Sonne, die ewig ist, gibt es wahrhaft weder „Untergang“ noch „Aufgang“. Was die Menschen Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang nennen, ist nur das Erscheinen und Verschwinden Ravis vor unserem Blick.
