यः कृशाश्वः कृशधनः कृशभृत्यः कृशातिथिः । स वै प्रोक्तः कृशोनाम न शरीरकृशः कृशऋ
yaḥ kṛśāśvaḥ kṛśadhanaḥ kṛśabhṛtyaḥ kṛśātithiḥ | sa vai proktaḥ kṛśonāma na śarīrakṛśaḥ kṛśaṛ
Wessen Pferde kümmerlich sind, wessen Reichtum kümmerlich ist, wessen Diener kümmerlich sind und wessen Gastfreundschaft kümmerlich ist—nur der heißt «wahrhaft dürftig», nicht bloß der, der am Körper dünn ist.
