Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 52

विमृश्य सुरसंक्षोभं वैनतेयमाताह्वयत् । आहूतेऽविस्थितेतस्मिन्गरुडे दुःखिते भृशम्

vimṛśya surasaṃkṣobhaṃ vainateyamātāhvayat | āhūte'visthitetasmingaruḍe duḥkhite bhṛśam

Als sie über die Erschütterung der Götter nachsann, rief die Mutter Vinatā Vainateya (Garuḍa). Als Garuḍa so gerufen wurde, trat er herbei und stand da, von tiefem Kummer erfüllt.
