Transliteration

tāṃ ca vedaśirāḥ kanyāṃ snehena samavardhayat | kṣīreṇa svāśramasthāyā hariṇyā hariṇīkṣaṇām

Translation

Und Vedaśiras zog das Mädchen in inniger Liebe auf, nährte die hirschäugige mit der Milch einer Hirschkuh, die in seinem Āśrama lebte.
