Type: mahapitha
Scene: At the Pañcamudrā pīṭha, sādhakas sit in japa with rosaries; the air feels charged; in the northwest corner stands a small shrine of Sagareśvara with a priest offering lamp, marking completion of the rite.
Mantra-power is intensified by right place (deśa) and right devotion—Kāśī’s pīṭhas are depicted as accelerators of mantra-siddhi.
The Pañcamudrā Mahāpīṭha area and the Sagareśvara shrine situated at its vāyukoṇa (northwest).
Japa of mahāmantras for quick siddhi, and prescribed worship of Sagareśvara at the specified direction within the pīṭha.
