Transliteration

satyaṃ mune satī devī tṛṇīcakre svajīvitam | joṣaṃ sthite munau tatra tanmahākālasādhvasāt

Translation

Wahrlich, o Weiser: Die Göttin Satī hielt ihr eigenes Leben für Stroh. Und dass der Weise dort schweigend stand, geschah aus ehrfürchtigem Bangen vor jenem Mahākāla.
