Transliteration

kāśīsthitairyato darśi dhvajo meṣavṛṣalāṃchanaḥ | vṛṣadhvajena nāmnātaḥ sthāsyāmyatra pitāmahāḥ

Translation

Weil die in Kāśī Wohnenden mein Banner erblicken, gezeichnet mit Widder und Stier, darum—o Vorväter—werde ich hier verweilen, bekannt unter dem Namen „Vṛṣadhvaja“.
