Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 62

मधुस्रवेति प्रथममेषा पुष्करिणी स्मृता । कृतकृत्या ततो ज्ञेया ततोऽसौ क्षीरनीरधिः

madhusraveti prathamameṣā puṣkariṇī smṛtā | kṛtakṛtyā tato jñeyā tato'sau kṣīranīradhiḥ

Dieser heilige Teich wird zuerst als „Madhusravā“ erinnert, die Honig strömen lässt. Danach soll er als „Kṛtakṛtyā“ erkannt werden, die alle Ziele erfüllt. Sodann heißt er „Kṣīra-nīrādhi“, ein ozeangleicher Speicher milchgleicher Wasser.
