Type: kund
Listener: Agnibindu (ṛṣi)
Scene: A cautionary tableau: a pilgrim who fails to reach Pañcanada and neglects gifting to brāhmaṇas faces sudden misfortunes; the ‘Vasu’ of auspicious wealth departs, depicted as a fading radiance.
Pilgrimage merit is meant to be completed by generosity and honoring dharmic recipients; neglect of dāna leads to instability and loss of auspiciousness.
Pañcanada in Kāśī, presented as a locus where pilgrimage and dāna-supporting dharma should be fulfilled.
Dāna—pleasing dvijas (brāhmaṇas) with gifts/wealth, connected to the Pañcanada tīrtha observance.
