ब्राह्मणेभ्यः प्रयच्छंति गीतं गायंत्यहर्निशम् । श्रुतावेव मनस्तेषां नाट्यशास्त्रकृतश्रमाः

brāhmaṇebhyaḥ prayacchaṃti gītaṃ gāyaṃtyaharniśam | śrutāveva manasteṣāṃ nāṭyaśāstrakṛtaśramāḥ

Den Brāhmaṇas bringen sie ihren Gesang dar und singen bei Tag und Nacht. Ihr Geist haftet allein am Gehörten, und sie mühen sich in den Lehren, die das Nāṭyaśāstra darlegt.
