पितृगेहे तु या कन्या रजः पश्येदसंस्कृता । भ्रूणहा तत्पिता ज्ञेयो वृषली सापि कन्यका

pitṛgehe tu yā kanyā rajaḥ paśyedasaṃskṛtā | bhrūṇahā tatpitā jñeyo vṛṣalī sāpi kanyakā

Wenn ein Mädchen, noch nicht durch die gebührenden Riten geweiht (das heißt unverheiratet), in des Vaters Haus die Menstruation erlebt, so ist ihr Vater als einer zu erkennen, der einen Embryo vernichtet; und auch das Mädchen gilt als aus dem rechten Stand gefallen.
