अबद्धावनतौ स्कंधावदीर्घावकृशौ शुभौ । वक्रौ स्थूलौ च रोमाढ्यौ प्रेष्य वैधव्यसूचकौ

abaddhāvanatau skaṃdhāvadīrghāvakṛśau śubhau | vakrau sthūlau ca romāḍhyau preṣya vaidhavyasūcakau

Sind die Schultern gelöst und sanft abfallend — weder eingeschnürt noch hochgezogen —, lang und schlank, so gelten sie als glückverheißend; sind sie jedoch krumm, dick und übermäßig behaart, deuten sie auf Dienstbarkeit und gelten als Zeichen, die auf Witwenschaft weisen.
